Operations and Employee Compensation Update

The Nippon Dynawave Longview facility continues to operate at very limited capacity as cleanup, recovery, and investigations proceed following the May 26 incident. The vast majority of normal mill operations remain suspended while we cooperate fully with federal and state agencies on site.
On July 1, Unified Command concluded the emergency response and transitioned ongoing recovery activities to Nippon Dynawave Packaging. Recovery work will continue in coordination with state and federal investigators and regulatory agencies.
We want our employees and their families to know: Nippon Dynawave will continue to compensate all employees unable to work as a result of the shutdown through August 8. We are committed to keeping our workforce informed as the situation evolves, and we will post updates here as new information becomes available.

Nippon Dynawave Extends Full Pay for Longview Employees Through October 11

LONGVIEW, WASH. July 17, 2026 – Nippon Dynawave Packaging Co., Ltd. (NDP) announced that it will continue to provide full compensation to all employees unable to work as a result of the partial shutdown at its Longview, Washington facility through October 11th, 2026, extending its previous commitment to support affected workers and their families.

The extension comes as the facility operates at very limited capacity while cleanup, recovery, and investigations continue following the May 26 incident. The majority of normal mill operations remain suspended, and NDP continues to cooperate fully with federal and state agencies on site.

NDP remains committed to keeping its workforce informed as the situation evolves and will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available.
